Caitlin and John’s coastal wedding was held at Grey Havens Inn in Maine. Grey Havens Inn was one of the most scenic and intimate places I have ever been to for a wedding. And the mood of the day certainly felt like that with Caitlin’s friends and family getting her ready in the morning, surrounded by coastal decor.
Caitlin and John’s coastal wedding photography was based at Grey Havens Inn in Maine and their day was extra special to me. Caitlin was my college roommate for 3 years. I was there when Caitlin and John met. So as you can image, it was an absolutely honor to go back with them to the place where it all started: Maine. Grey Havens Inn was one of the most scenic and intimate places I have ever been to for a wedding. We could have been on our own island. And the mood of the day certainly felt like that–with Caitlin’s friends and family getting her ready in the morning, surrounded by coastal decor. I waited a few hours to pick up my camera, but when I did, this time it felt different.
Caitlin and John kept things simple. They let the coast of Maine speak for itself. There was a brief panic about rain. But as it tends to, the rain stopped 10 minutes before their ceremony. When it started up after their processional, it was only our friendship that let Caitlin be dragged down to the water for portraits on the dock, the foggy ocean our backdrop. To this day, she thanks me for making that happen. The photos stunning and the memory of hiking up and down that grassy slope for their coastal wedding photography will live in my heart forever.
Thank you Caitlin and John for making me such a huge part of your day and for our life long friendship.
