Ben and Megan had their wedding at a venue near and dear to me: Carmel Mission Ranch. Carmel is my family hometown –part fo why I also have the privegae to call myself a carmel wedding photographer so I got to visit them while I was in town to celebrate with Megan and Ben! They were quite excited about their wedding here and so was I! Now why is a Carmel Mission Ranch wedding the venue of choice? Ben and Megan have me a simple answer: The sheep. These two were PSYCHED to have the sheep photo-bomb their ceremony, and photo-bomb they did!

The day started with Megan getting ready at her family home. From there we headed over 5min to Carmel Mission Ranch and Megan and Ben had their first look outside the cabin overlooking their ceremony space. Family and wedding party photos were easy after that–there is a gorgeous tree right where we were that gave us some shade and gorgeous filtered light. Luckily after that there was some chill time since after the ceremony it was portraits and party time! The reception was one of the most well-decorated I’ve seen with hanging lights and books that reflected the Harry Potter themed love stories we all got to enjoy during the speeches 🙂

What I loved about Megan and Ben was how laid back they were and excited to spend time with everyone! It was really the perfect venue for them to never be too far away from the party so that we could hop from some quick portraits back to the dance floor within just a few minutes. Couples like them who are psyched to dance the night away are really my most memorable and the couples who I jive with the best! Thank you so much Ben and Megan for sharing your gorgeous day with me and allowing me to be your carmel wedding photographer!
